I went to see Law Abiding Citizen with Kim, Steve and Bry tonight. I could write a proper review but seeing as I have a backlog of eight Freelance Journalism tutorials/assessments I could be doing instead it'd seem like taking the piss a litte bit. Instead, I'll just say that it far exceeded my expectations and with the only major release left being Sherlock Holmes, Law Abiding Citizen is highly likely to end up being my film of the year. |

| The Ball Weekend |

Sitting in Victoria Station food court, jess is away dropping the window and giant lollypop at the grand.
Being something of a sentimentilist (Read: Mentalist) i ended up drifting to the upstairs foodcourt, the same foodcourt that served as drop off point for the Megabus trips to Wilder and Ame back in 2004, don;t think i've been up here since then.
Tis made me a lil nostalgic, and reminded me of people i need to chase up (Nomi, Deji, Avis, Cammy, Mishi and Sharp. LOOOKING AT YOOOOOOU) Me n tom where talking about sharp on the train, i must assume he still is being a spack somewhere, i miss his spack.
Also just had a subway, havn't had a subway in agges. Not worth the london rape prices but was nice. Also have had 2 krispy creme donuts, nomnomnom.
Journey down wasn't to eventful, bar Tom setting fire to Euston. We managed to get a table seat, get chucked out a table seat, slum it in the mid sections and then get put in first class. I call that a success of a train journey.
So far in london already met Ren, Tom's Dad, a Lex and a Jake. Someone else as well, he had a beard and i did not know his name. So he will be beardy man. So yeah.
Rambaling much me, don't really do it anymore on Lj but i have a laptop with 10% power and a half hour wait, so i think i will be forgiven this time.
Going to meet Yaya after this with Jess, which will be awesome, also bollocks i just checked my phone, emergancy calls only. buggerbuggerbugger, i flee this place of memorys and turkey subways before jess ends me. |

Hello my lovelies. This is the first college brief of the year to get us back into the swing of things (which I haven't really). It's all about our personal hates/fears. Mine is the fear of being stuck in a 9-5 rut for the rest of my life, which I was before I started this course. There are various aspects I associated with this: endless paperwork, constantly freezing/crashing archaic computers, the loneliness etc.
I've found making this to be a bit of miserable experience actually. I've not really slept, I found it really hard to get motivated and started with it (my research/sketchbook is pretty barebones) and I almost missed the deadline, submitting this on 5pm on a Friday, just minutes before my tutor was about to leave.
One of my tutors even asked what's happened to me at one point. I used to be a "good student". Was even considering dropping out at one point or just taking a break for a year, but realised that's the attitude of a quitter (or just someone who's sleep deprived?) and I wouldn't have anything to fall back on anyway. So it goes...
Alas I've got to soldier on. Need to choose a brief for the D&AD awards 2010, where I'll compete with students around the world for erm black/yellow pencils. |
